Technical Due Diligence

Before diligence starts, stress-test the technical claims, evidence, mechanism, and data-room story.

Hardware device, software architecture, AI system, novel algorithm — the diligence failure modes are domain-invariant. Unsupported mechanism claims, evidence gaps, milestone plans that don’t retire the stated risks, and scalability arguments without a physical or computational basis. Any domain, same audit.

What fails diligence is almost never a bad idea. It is a technically sound concept with an undocumented mechanism, asserted claims without a derivation layer, and a risk map that does not exist. The technical record cannot be reconstructed during diligence. It must already exist.
